I went to the opening show What They Saw: Historical Photobooks by Women, 1843–1999 at the Getty. It took place at the Research Institute Galleries and they had speakers talk about the importance of photobooks by women that have not been shown. After hearing the speakers we were allowed to view the photobooks and look through them. I started talking to people there as well making small talk and met a few other photographers. I met this one man who I talked to about 4x5 cameras and was interested and we ended up following each other on Instagram to hopefully work together sometime soon.
